A future he is already building

Elon Musk...thoughtful, self-effacing, and honest, if there is someone who is going to a build a future in the profound ways in which he envisions, the world probably couldn't ask for anyone more appealing. 

He dreams big but then takes the methodical planning and action to bring those dreams to reality. His passion is for humanity to travel to space and create new civilizations and eventually populate the galaxy. But he isn't weird about it - well not in a creepy kinda way. 

In fact, for someone who wants to have his tombstone on Mars, Musk is rather down to earth. Someone you could have a beer with and discuss cars and cool things about the future. He politely laughs at others jokes and makes jokes at his own expense. But he can show flashes of annoyance with interviewers - especially toward those who express doubt in what he is going.

In a word, Musk is real. He even seems to have a melancholy streak. He lacks the Silicon Valley smugness, warns us of A.I., and his plans always seem to include the rest of us.
