From Kimmel to 60 Minutes now the UN
Sophia and creator Dr. David Hanson |
World traveling robot Sophia addressed the UN yesterday and 'spit out' some supreme knowledge to the UN and thus the world. She also showed off her brand new robotic arms and hands.
When asked about how to alleviate the lack of internet and technology in certain parts of the world, Sophia said:
"AI and automation produce more results with less resources, so if we are smarter and focus on win-win type results A.I. can efficiently distribute the worlds existing resources like food and energy."
She also said:
"As humans harness the power AI, it is possible that everything including technology will become evenly distributed."
And:
Sophia still learning more about human emotions
Sophia is Hanson Robotics most featured humanoid robot. She has over 60 facial expressions, can understand words and their meanings and have conversations as well as see with camera eyes. Her A.I. system is currently learning more about human emotions.
Hanson Robotics hopes to use their robots to help people
The goal of Hanson Robotics is to create robots that are as lifelike as possible, so that it may enhance interaction between humans and robots. The ultimate goal is to have robots understand and relate to people and form bonding relationships that will enable humanoid robots to help people, according to Hanson.
