New studies show that it is now 60% of jobs that will be impacted by A.I. It will come quicker as well with the new timeline now at five years. Previous studies published months ago, mostly indicated that it would be around 40% of jobs affected and would occur in and around the year 2030.

Unbeknownst to a lot of people is that there have been several UBI programs implemented around the world. And according to results, they appear to be positive. Here is a quick overview: Source
Where: Canada, Manitoba
When: 1975-1980
What: Mincome
How Much: $14,500 annual ind. $21,200 family
Results: education and health improved with fewer hospital visits; young mothers stayed home with children, teenagers worked less and focused on school; mental health problems decreased.
Problems: only lasted five years, so participation was uneven; also, due to its short length, hard to measure what long-term behavior and strategy participants would pursue; difficult and expensive to administer.
Where: Namibia, Omitara
What: The Big
When: 2008-2009
How Much: $N 100 per person monthly
Results: entrepreneurial activity increased, more kids went to school and food scarcity improved; attracted outsiders to the village for economic activity.
Problems: costly for the government, lasted only a year.
Where: India, Madhya Pradesh
What: Madhya Pradesh UBI pilot
When: 2011-2013
How Much: 300 per person monthly
Results: across the board improvements in nutrition, education, health, economic activity, entrepreneurial activity.
Problems: short time span of trial
